Senior Mobile & Full-Stack Engineer (.NET Maui / iOS / Java)

Overall responsibilities

SMobile Application Development & Modernization

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise iOS applications using C#, .NET MAUI, and Xamarin.iOS.
• Participate in Xamarin-to-.NET MAUI migration initiatives.
• Design, develop, and support native iOS camera and barcode scanning functionality.
• Perform device compatibility testing and iOS version upgrade validation.
• Conduct regression testing and impact analysis for application, service, and data changes.

Application Release Management

• Manage mobile application releases through enterprise distribution platforms and TestFlight.
• Configure and support VMware AirWatch (Workspace ONE UEM) deployments.
• Maintain Apple provisioning profiles, distribution certificates, and application signing processes.
• Coordinate production releases and deployment activities.

Backend Services Support

• Support and maintain Java-based backend systems running on IBM WebSphere Application Server.
• Troubleshoot and enhance REST and SOAP services.
• Analyze and resolve application integration issues.
• Work with legacy Java applications and web technologies when required.

Production Support & Maintenance

• Investigate and resolve production incidents.
• Monitor application performance using DynaTrace or similar APM tools.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Support continuous improvement and operational stability across mobile and backend applications.

Database & Data Support

• Create and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Support DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and SQLite data environments.
• Investigate data integrity and performance issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting data flows connected to enterprise and mainframe systems.

Key responsibilities

Backend development in Java, including enterprise services on application servers such as WebSphere

- Relational databases, including advanced SQL on DB2 and Oracle

- API integration with REST and SOAP services, including tracing and troubleshooting

- Legacy code maintenance: reading, refactoring, and modernizing established Java codebases

- Frontend development with Angular and familiarity with Linux-based environments

- Production troubleshooting using APM tools such as Dynatrace, along with log analysis

- Incident and change management in ITSM platforms

- Cross-platform and mobile development with C# and .NET MAUI, with native iOS experience (nice to have)

- Application release management for mobile apps, including enterprise distribution and TestFlight

- Regression testing and impact analysis for service and data changes.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with mobile and backend applications.
• 3+ years of iOS development experience using Xcode and the iOS SDK.
• Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and Xamarin/.NET MAUI.
• Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting Java applications and REST/SOAP services.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere and legacy enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server).
• Experience with enterprise mobile application deployment, including AirWatch/Workspace ONE, Apple certificates, provisioning profiles, and TestFlight.
• Experience migrating Xamarin applications to .NET MAUI.
• Experience implementing native iOS barcode scanning using AVFoundation, Vision, or VisionKit.
• Experience replacing third-party mobile SDKs such as Scandit.
• Familiarity with Angular, Vaadin, JSP, Struts, or SUSE Linux environments.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments supporting mission-critical applications

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead critical Run-the-Business activities while driving modernization initiatives across a portfolio of enterprise mobile applications and supporting backend services.

This role will be responsible for leading a strategic initiative to remove the Scandit SDK from multiple iOS applications and replace it with native iOS camera scanning capabilities. In addition, the engineer will support application enhancements, modernization efforts, ongoing maintenance, and production operations for both mobile applications and their Java/WebSphere backend services.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with experience across iOS, .NET MAUI, C#, Java, WebSphere, databases, and enterprise mobile deployments, capable of supporting both front-end mobile applications and the backend systems that power them.
