Business Technology Advisor
Sobre este empleo
About MEDLIFEMEDLIFE is a nonprofit organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve access to healthcare, education, and community development projects. We work with university and high school students around the world who fundraise and travel to support this work. Our mission is to build a worldwide Movement empowering people living in poverty in their fight for equal access to healthcare, education, and a safe home.We are growing, and our operational complexity is growing faster than our headcount.
This role exists to make sure the technology and growth decisions we make are the right ones. About the roleYou will sit between our technical team and the rest of the business. Your job has two sides. The first is protecting our technology investments.
You will be a standing presence in our data team's planning and project checkpoints, making sure every technical initiative has a clear business case before it starts, and catching projects that drift off course while they are still cheap to redirect. You will translate in both directions: helping the technical team understand the business goal behind a request, and helping leadership understand the technical tradeoffs behind a recommendation. The second is growth.
You will own or co-own specific revenue-generating initiatives from start to finish. You will look for untested opportunities, design small low-cost experiments to validate them, and bring back real results so we can decide whether to scale or stop. This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role. You will not manage a team.
You will need to build credibility through judgment and results rather than through authority. What you will do Attend our data team's planning sessions and project checkpoints on a recurring basis, not as a one-time approval step Require a short business case (cost, expected return, how success will be measured) before any new technical initiative begins, and revisit it at each major checkpoint Review technical proposals and push back on scope, timeline, or spend when the business case is not solid Own or co-own revenue-generating initiatives end to end Propose and run growth experiments, measure the results, and recommend a scale or stop decision Participate in a weekly cross-functional sync to catch duplicated effort or misalignment early Help maintain data quality and reporting standards in HubSpot so the team can trust the numbers behind these decisions Requisitos: What we are looking for 5+ years of experience across technical program or project management, revenue operations, process improvement, or software and data delivery Experience working as a Data Analyst At least 3 years leading teams, vendors, or complex cross-functional programs from discovery through adoption A hands-on technical background.
This role does not write production code, but you need enough depth to review an architecture, challenge an estimate, inspect a data model, and spot delivery risk Proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with Spark, Databricks, or a comparable data platform is a strong plus Experience with HubSpot or an equivalent CRM and marketing automation platform Advanced professional English. You will work in English every day Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related fieldNice to have Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations Experience evaluating AI or automation tools for business impact, not just technical feasibility HubSpot certifications, or an MBA or executive program in business or digital transformation Beneficios What we offer Remote or hybrid opportunities depending on country and team needs.
Competitive compensation and performance-focused growth opportunities. A global, mission-driven team working across healthcare, education, and community development. A role where your daily conversations can lead to real-world impact.
