Social Media Manager

Requirements:

• Based in Mexico, Colombia, or Argentina preferred for timezone overlap with US Central.
• Must be a real writer, not an AI prompter — you’ll get a voice guide and source material, but you need to write from scratch in a specific person’s voice without it reading like generic AI output.
• Strong written English is essential, since this role lives and dies on caption and reply quality, not just grammar accuracy.
• Real social media management experience, not just scheduling.
• Comfortable working async with occasional live coordination around the Wednesday show.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus given our Austin market, not required.
• Hiring process: finalists complete a short paid, timed test task before offer — writing sample captions from provided source material and drafting sample replies to real comments, followed by a short call.
• Contractor, ongoing remote role. Rate to be discussed based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily posting calendar across Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Monitor and respond to comments and DMs in real time, especially during and after the Wednesday show.
• Repurpose show content into carousels, captions, and short-form posts.
• Track engagement and flag what’s working.
• Write captions and replies in Paul’s voice — direct, first-person, no corporate filler, no hedging.
• Stay on top of trending audio and formats relevant to real estate, Austin, and investing content.

Contractor, ongoing remote role. Rate to be discussed based on experience.

Paul Smith (@paulsellstx), co-founder of Twelve Rivers Realty and host of the weekly “12:00 at 12 Rivers” Instagram Live show, is hiring a social media manager to run day-to-day content, engagement, and posting across Instagram and LinkedIn.

This is a US-timezone-overlap role. You’ll be working live around a Wednesday noon CT broadcast — real-time comment and DM engagement, catching trending formats while they’re relevant, posting when our audience is actually online. We’re hiring from Latin America specifically for this reason, ideally Mexico, Colombia, or Argentina.
